PART 1 - MEANING OF CONTAMINATION OF WATER
Water contamination is water that are unsafe for drinking, cooking, washing, etc.
WAYS OF CONTAMINATING WATER
1. Defecating on water bodies.
2. Dumping of refuse and industrial wastes into water bodies.
3. Breaking of oil pipes near streams, riversides and farmlands.
PART 2 – SOURCES OF WATER CONTAMINATION
Water contamination comes from three primary sources:
1. Rainwater
2. Surface water
3. Groundwater

Water are the Uses of Water?
1. It is used for drinking.
2. It is used for cooking.
3. It is used washing clothes and plate.
5. It is used bathing.
6. It is used brushing teeth.
7. It is used for planting crops and flowers.
8. It is used for flushing.
9. It is used for praying and baptism.
10. It is used for travelling.

There are many ways of making water clean. Examples are:
1. By boiling

5. Adding water treatments (e.g. water guard)
